Website Terms
These Website Terms govern your use of the Stories by Annaliz public website, applications, account-access features, content, and related online services.
These Website Terms are separate from The First Year Customer Agreement. If you become a customer, the customer agreement and the specific offer you accept govern the paid photography service, including membership obligations, payments, scheduling, cancellations, galleries, deliverables, and service remedies.
1. About Stories by Annaliz
Stories by Annaliz is a family photography experience operated by Careryn LLC and presented in connection with Annaliz Photography.
The primary public website is intended to introduce Stories by Annaliz, explain The First Year, receive applications, provide information to families, and support authorized customer and account interactions.
References in these Terms to “Stories by Annaliz,” “we,” “us,” or “our” refer to Careryn LLC when acting through the Stories by Annaliz brand.
2. Acceptance of these Terms
By accessing or using the website, you agree to these Website Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the website.
Some actions may require an additional agreement, acknowledgment, permission, or affirmative electronic consent. When that happens, the additional language will be presented separately or as part of the applicable workflow.
Using the website does not by itself enroll you in The First Year or create a paid photography membership.
3. Website information is not an enrollment guarantee
The website may describe:
- The First Year
- Pricing
- Service inclusions
- General service areas
- Application requirements
- Photography style
- Scheduling approach
- Galleries and collections
- Future Stories by Annaliz experiences
Website information is intended to accurately describe the current public offer, but availability is limited by location, timing, photographer capacity, and operational readiness.
Submitting an application does not guarantee:
- Acceptance
- A specific photographer
- A particular appointment date
- Service in a particular ZIP code
- Immediate availability
- A paid membership
An approved address, available capacity, completed onboarding, and the applicable customer agreement may be required before paid service begins.
4. Applications
You may submit an application for The First Year through the website.
You agree that information you provide in an application will be accurate to the best of your knowledge.
You should not submit unnecessary sensitive medical information, passwords, financial-account credentials, identity documents, or other information that the application does not request.
We may:
- Request additional information
- Place an application on a waitlist
- Determine that a location or timing is not currently serviceable
- Invite an applicant to continue with onboarding
- Close duplicate, fraudulent, abusive, or abandoned applications
Application decisions do not determine a person's worthiness or value. They reflect practical factors such as timing, location, capacity, and service fit.
5. Accounts and account security
Some features may require a verified account.
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate account information
- Keeping your login credentials confidential
- Using your own authorized account rather than another person's credentials
- Promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access
- Keeping your contact information reasonably current
You may not:
- Attempt to access another family's account
- Share private gallery links in a way that defeats intended access controls
- Impersonate another person
- Circumvent authentication or authorization controls
- Use another person's account without permission
We may suspend or restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect an account, family, system, payment process, or other user.
6. Family and household access
A family account may support more than one authorized adult.
Each adult should use their own identity and access method when separate access is provided.
Being related to a customer, sharing a surname, appearing in a photograph, or knowing information about a family does not automatically create account access.
An authorized account holder is responsible for using invitation and household-access features appropriately.
7. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the website and its content are owned by or licensed to Careryn LLC.
This may include:
- Stories by Annaliz branding
- The First Year branding
- Website copy
- Layouts and designs
- Logos and graphic elements
- Photographs
- Videos
- Galleries
- Collection designs
- Illustrations
- Software interfaces
- Downloadable materials
You may view the public website for personal, non-commercial use.
You may not copy, reproduce, scrape, publish, sell, modify, redistribute, create derivative commercial materials from, or commercially exploit protected website content without permission or another applicable legal right.
8. Photography copyright and customer images
Careryn LLC owns or obtains the copyright rights required for Stories by Annaliz photography through its photographer agreements.
A customer's rights to delivered photographs are governed by the applicable customer agreement and personal-use license.
Appearing in a photograph does not, by itself, transfer copyright ownership.
Private delivery of a photograph and public use of an identifiable person's likeness are handled separately under the applicable Stories by Annaliz permissions and image-use practices.
9. Portfolio, testimonials, and public family imagery
Stories by Annaliz treats private membership galleries separately from public portfolio and marketing use.
Public use of identifiable family imagery is subject to our active image-use practices and applicable permissions.
Testimonials, reviews, names, photographs, and identifying details should not be treated as approved for public use merely because they were submitted privately.
Where a separate authorization is required for a particular use, we will use the applicable permission process.
10. Acceptable use
You may not use the website to:
- Violate applicable law
- Harass, threaten, exploit, or abuse another person
- Upload malicious code
- Probe, scan, or attack website security
- Interfere with normal website operation
- Attempt to bypass access controls
- Scrape private or restricted content
- Harvest personal information
- Submit fraudulent applications
- Abuse payment, refund, account-recovery, or support processes
- Misrepresent your identity or authority
- Use automated systems in a way that materially burdens the service
- Upload content you do not have the right to provide
- Attempt to access private family photographs without authorization
We may restrict access or take reasonable protective action when we believe the website is being misused.
11. User-submitted content
When the website allows you to submit text, preferences, photographs, documents, feedback, or other material, you retain whatever rights you otherwise have in material you submit.
You give Careryn LLC the limited rights reasonably necessary to:
- Receive the submission
- Review it
- Store it
- Process it
- Respond to it
- Provide the requested website or customer service
- Maintain appropriate records
Submitting private material does not automatically authorize public marketing use.
Public use of photographs, testimonials, or identifying information is governed separately where applicable.
12. Feedback
If you voluntarily provide ideas, suggestions, or general product feedback that is not private family content, we may use that feedback to improve Stories by Annaliz without creating an obligation to compensate you.
This does not authorize us to publicly disclose private customer information or private family imagery.
13. Pricing and service information
We aim to keep public pricing and service information current.
For The First Year Version 1.0, the public offer is presented as:
$399 per month for 12 payments $4,788 total base membership price, plus any applicable tax
The First Year does not automatically renew.
The website is not intended to override an accepted customer agreement or retroactively change the offer accepted by an existing customer.
If a future offer changes, the new version applies according to its stated effective date and acceptance process.
14. Payments
Payment processing may be provided through a third-party payment provider.
We do not intend to store raw payment-card numbers or security codes in the Stories by Annaliz application.
Payment obligations, refunds, cancellation effects, approved fees, and service reconciliation for a customer are governed by the applicable First Year Customer Agreement and accepted offer.
A payment-method setup or payment authorization is not necessarily the same thing as a completed payment.
15. Communications
We may send communications reasonably necessary to operate:
- Applications
- Account access
- Security
- Memberships
- Appointments
- Galleries
- Payments
- Refunds
- Support cases
- Privacy requests
- Cancellations
- Final collections
Optional marketing communications are managed separately from required service communications.
Public-image permission does not automatically create marketing-communication consent.
Marketing preferences do not prevent us from sending communications reasonably necessary to provide or administer an active service.
16. Privacy
Use of the website is also subject to the Stories by Annaliz Privacy Notice.
The Privacy Notice explains how information is collected, used, disclosed, retained, and otherwise handled.
Where a privacy choice is separate from acceptance of these Website Terms, it should be presented separately.
17. Accessibility
Stories by Annaliz is committed to improving the usability and accessibility of its website and customer experience.
Our accessibility approach is described in the current Accessibility Statement.
If you experience difficulty using a website feature, application, account function, gallery, download, or cancellation process, you may request assistance through the published support channel.
18. Third-party services and links
The website may use or link to third-party services, including providers for:
- Payments
- Maps or directions
- Image delivery
- Galleries
- Hosting
- Social media
- Analytics
- Other operational services
A link to a third-party website does not mean that Careryn LLC controls or is responsible for all content, security, availability, or practices of that third party.
Your use of a third-party service may also be subject to that provider's terms and privacy practices.
19. Social-media links
Stories by Annaliz may link to Annaliz Photography or Stories by Annaliz social profiles.
Social-media platforms are operated independently from Careryn LLC.
Content shared or reshared outside our controlled accounts may remain available through third-party systems even after we remove the original controlled placement.
20. Availability and website changes
We may modify, improve, suspend, or discontinue website features.
We do not guarantee that:
- Every feature will always be available
- The website will operate without interruption
- Every browser or device will behave identically
- A temporary error will never occur
- A future feature described on the website will launch on a particular date
We should not use this section to avoid obligations already accepted under a customer agreement.
21. No professional advice
The website provides information about photography services and the Stories by Annaliz customer experience.
It is not medical, legal, tax, financial, or childcare advice.
Any general references to newborn timing, comfort, family readiness, or scheduling are service-planning information rather than medical recommendations.
22. Website disclaimers
The public website and general informational content are provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by applicable law.
We aim to provide accurate, high-quality information, but general public website content may occasionally contain errors, outdated information, or temporary technical issues.
Nothing in these Website Terms eliminates:
- A promised customer deliverable
- A refund or remedy owed under an accepted customer agreement
- A right that cannot legally be waived
- Responsibility for conduct that cannot lawfully be excluded
23. Limitation of liability for website use
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Careryn LLC is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising solely from use of the public website when those losses are not the direct result of an obligation Careryn LLC separately accepted.
This website limitation does not replace the terms governing an active paid photography service and does not limit rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited.
24. Suspension and termination of website access
We may suspend or terminate access to website or account features when reasonably necessary because of:
- Security concerns
- Fraud
- Unauthorized access
- Abuse
- Material violation of these Terms
- Legal requirements
- Protection of another family's information
Where an active customer relationship exists, restricting website access does not automatically cancel the customer's service or erase outstanding delivery, financial, privacy, or support obligations.
25. Changes to these Website Terms
We may update these Website Terms as the website and business evolve.
Each version should identify its effective date.
Material changes should be published as a new version rather than silently rewriting the historical terms associated with an earlier interaction.
Where separate affirmative acceptance is appropriate for a material account or service change, that acceptance should be requested separately.
26. Governing law
These Website Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without applying a choice-of-law rule that would require another jurisdiction's law solely because of that rule.
Nothing in this section removes any non-waivable consumer protection or other mandatory right that applies to a particular user or transaction.
Any dispute concerning the paid First Year service is also subject to the dispute and governing-law provisions in the applicable customer agreement.
27. Electronic records and consent
The website may support electronic applications, acknowledgments, signatures, permissions, notices, and account actions.
Where applicable law or the relevant workflow requires a separate affirmative agreement to conduct a transaction electronically, that agreement should be presented separately rather than inferred solely from ordinary browsing.
You are responsible for maintaining a current email address or other approved contact method for electronic service communications.
28. Severability
If a provision of these Website Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
29. Relationship to other documents
These Website Terms should be read together with the current:
- Privacy Notice
- Accessibility Statement
- Permissions and Model Release, where applicable
- First Year Customer Agreement, for enrolled customers
- Accepted offer or service-specific terms
If a service-specific customer agreement conflicts with these general Website Terms on a matter concerning the paid service, the service-specific agreement controls for that matter.
30. Contact
Questions about these Website Terms may be sent through the Stories by Annaliz contact page or the monitored support channel.
Support email: [email protected]

31. Versioning
This is Version 1.0 of the Stories by Annaliz Website Terms.
Stories by Annaliz may update these Terms as the website, customer experience, technology, and operating practices evolve.
Existing service agreements and historical records should remain tied to the versions actually presented and accepted at the relevant time.
